Job Description

The Assets Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating operational activities for assigned assets, including day-to-day operations of the operations teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Business plan execution.
  • Overseeing capital expenditures, project timelines, cost controls, and budget review.
  • Managing Power Purchase Agreements, energy bidding strategies, and revenue generation.
  • Providing leadership on operations-related contracts and all aspects of asset management/operations.
  • Managing financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, variance reporting, expense monitoring, and revenue enhancement.
  • Overseeing contracting programs, energy bidding strategies, invoicing, and collections.
  • Collaborating with development and investment teams on asset transition, acquisitions, and cost optimization.
  • Risk assessment, including analyzing challenges, communicating issues, developing improvement plans, monitoring assets for defects, and overseeing safety and security programs.
  • Implementing maintenance programs, conducting site visits, and evaluating bidding strategies.
  • Managing deliverables in tax equity and financing documents.
  • Ensuring compliance, participating in contract negotiations, and managing contract obligations.
  • Reporting on project performance.

The role also involves supervisory responsibilities, including hiring, training, and supervising team members, maintaining relationships with support departments, providing performance evaluations, and addressing employee issues.

Requirements include:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in solar and storage asset operations and management.
  • Experience managing utility-scale projects and operating merchant energy projects is preferred.
  • Prior experience with Day Ahead scheduling.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP software systems
