Job Description
Tesla AI's Teleoperation team is charged with providing remote access to our robotaxis and humanoid robots. Our cars and robots operate autonomously in challenging environments. As we iterate on the AI that powers them, we need the ability to access and control them remotely. This requires building highly optimized low latency reliable data streaming over unreliable networks in the real world. At Tesla, we control the entire hardware and software stack, end to end. Our goal is to integrate our hardware, firmware and backend expertise to achieve a cutting-edge system.
Responsibilities - Influence architectural decisions with a focus on security, scalability, reliability, and high performance
- Choose technologies that will allow us to scale with our growing fleets of vehicles and robots while efficiently utilizing cloud infrastructure and managing costs
- Work closely with the other AI teams to design and implement backend components required for future Autonomy features and processes
- Setup and maintain monitoring, metrics & reporting systems for fine-grained observability and actionable alerting, from car to cloud
- Author bullet-proof automated tests that will allow us to continue to merge and deploy with confidence
Requirements - Practical experience using application layer languages like C++, Go and Python
- Experience with Linux, networking, storage, and virtualization automation with tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet or similar
- Experience with databases and search indexes like PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch, Redis

Expected Compensation $120,000 - $318,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
