Your Impact As the Corporate Controller, you will oversee the financial operations of Cerence, ensuring the integrity of our financial statements, managing financial reporting, and supervising the accounting functions. This position plays a key role in budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and internal controls. You will work closely with senior management to provide strategic financial insights and ensure the company’s financial health and stability. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring GAAP compliance. Prepare internal and external reports, including balance sheets, P&L, and cash flow statements. Manage the accounting team and ensure timely execution of accounts payable, receivable, revenue, and general ledger functions. Implement and maintain internal controls for financial accuracy and regulatory compliance, overseeing audits with external auditors. Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement and professional development. What You Bring: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred). 8-10 years of accounting and finance experience, including 3-5 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of Regulation 606, GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting software (Workday experience preferred). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Experience managing audits and working with external auditors. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Experience in a public company and international organization preferred. Compensation & Benefits: Salary range: $203,000–$330,000 (Actual salary will be determined based on experience and job-related factors).
