The Experiential Art Director is a talented 3D art director who works directly with the Creative Director, Founders, and experiential design teams on marketing and event-based projects. The ideal candidate is well-versed in the creative process with a fierce passion for good design. The candidate should be able to ideate and execute projects from concept to final production and lead a team of fellow creatives to achieve such an end. This individual should have great communication skills and be able to present concepts and designs at internal meetings and, on occasion, with clients. Experiential designers are responsible for assisting and/or overseeing any onsite installation, production, sourcing, and styling of their designs. Projects may include nationwide touring sets, pop-up shops, large-scale art installations, merchandise and product displays, conferences, photo backdrops, and more.
The ability to render photo-realistic 3D environments is critical and required for this job. Please to not apply if you are not well versed in Sketch-Up and Podium SU.
Requirements:
· BA/BFA in within the design or marketing field
· 5-8+ years of marketing / advertising / 3D design experience
· Self-starter. Ability to work independently as well as in groups
· Mastery of Sketchup and Podium rendering
· General knowledge of schematics and engineering principals
· Strong understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
· Strong understanding of Microsoft Office
· Fluency in the fundamentals of design and detail-oriented
· Strong eye for layout design and typography
· Ability to lead a team
· Excellent organizational and communication skills
· Strong project/time management and multitasking abilities
· Positive and enthusiastic attitude
· Strong conceptual skills and good knowledge of current design trends
· Strong understanding of building finishes, materials, and construction methods
· Knowledge of paper finishes, print materials, and all print methods
· Ability to prioritize and manage work, adhering to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment
· A strong portfolio showing past design work
This is a 19 week contract, 4 days a week. It is required to work onsite Mon-Thurs, 10am -6pm.
