Key Responsibilities:

Legal Advisory

  • Provide legal counsel to senior management and various departments on business and operational matters. Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Corporate Governance & Quality Management

  • Advise on corporate governance matters, including board resolutions, bylaws, and shareholder agreements. Develop and implement a comprehensive quality management program at the Corporate level and for subsidiary companies. Assist in the establishment of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and benchmarks for patient care, quality and safety. Oversee the continuous assessment and improvement of clinical processes and outcomes.

Compliance & Accreditation

  • Develop and maintain company policies, procedures, and codes of conduct. Provide training to employees on legal and compliance matters. Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations, as well as accreditation standards including ISO 13485. Prepare for and manage internal and external audits and accreditation surveys. Conduct thorough investigations of potential compliance issues.

Contract Management

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents. Ensure contracts align with company policies, legal standards, and business objectives.

Intellectual Property

  • Manage intellectual property portfolios, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents. Ensure protection of company IP assets.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Support the Director of Regulatory as necessary.

Litigation Management

  • Oversee and manage any legal disputes, investigations, or litigation. Collaborate with external counsel when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership in New Jersey or Pennsylvania.
  • Minimum 10 years of legal experience, with specific experience relevant to the healthcare.
  • Knowledge of the relevant laws and regulations related including, but not limited to, Food Drug and Cosmetic Act, the Health Care Fraud laws, Sunshine Act reporting, FCPA, FCA, HIPAA and other applicable privacy law
  • Familiarity with legal technology tools for contract and compliance management.
