Job Title: Medical Science Liaison - Lung Oncology - Pacific Northwest (Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho) Description: Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicines is recruiting for a Medical Science Liaison, Lung Oncology, to cover the Pacific Northwest territory. The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is considered the field-based scientific and clinical expert on current and future Janssen products. The Senior MSL is responsible for providing fair balanced, objective, scientific information, and education to health care professionals and to internal partners as required by scientific and business needs. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain a strategic and comprehensive territory plan and build strong relationships with community and academic opinion leaders/KOLs in the territory. Engage in high-level scientific and research discussions with KOLs and OLs to understand their perspectives on the current treatment landscape. Identify provider educational needs and address those with tailored responses. Deliver relevant scientific data tailored to HCP needs through clear and effective dialogue/presentation. Execute upon the current Medical Affairs strategy and MSL priorities. Respond to unsolicited research/clinical inquiries from external stakeholders promptly. Collect and submit high-quality actionable insights aligned with current strategic priorities. Utilize insights and MSL tools to develop a strategic approach for customer engagements. Provide research support for company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies. Compliantly collaborate with internal stakeholders including MSL field partners, R&D, and Global Medical Affairs teams. Demonstrate strong scientific acumen through self-reading and engaging in scientific discussions. Foster a culture of inclusion and belonging. Develop a thorough understanding of regulatory and healthcare compliance guidelines. In collaboration with the direct manager, develop and implement a performance and development plan. Perform all administrative requirements in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner. Qualifications: A Doctorate level degree or equivalent experience (PharmD, PhD, MD, Advanced Practice Providers) is required; post graduate experience is preferred. 2+ years of relevant work experience, which can include clinical, research, or related pharma work experience. In-depth scientific and/or therapeutic knowledge. Ability to support a specific territory with up to 70% travel; must hold a valid US Driver’s License. Preferred: Board certification for clinical degrees preferred. Experience in the Oncology therapeutic area is highly preferred. Previous experience as an MSL. The anticipated base salary for this position is $146,200 and $197,800. This position is eligible for a company car through the Company’s FLEET program.
