Well established San Francisco-based boutique law firm seeking an experienced Legal Assistant. Generally, you will be responsible for administrative duties, including but not limited to, calendaring, reception, setting up conference calls/zoom, reviewing and edits of letters/and other documents, creating service lists, updating firm internal filings, and similar office duties.

 

Responsibilities:

    • • Administrative case(s) management, client intake, discovery (state and federal)
    • • Conduct legal and nonlegal research
    • • Assist with the drafting, reviewing, and filing of legal documents
    • • Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes
    • • Interact with potential clients, update firm records
    • • Multitask, including reception, assist with client intakes, office administration duties

 

Qualifications:

    • • Previous experience as a legal assistant (legal secretary/paralegal) – Two (2) years or more in law office
    • • Proficient with Word and WordPerfect (type 60 wpm) Microsoft Office, and excel.
    • • Experience with ECF/Federal and state filings
    • • Ability to create a Table of contents and Table of authority for briefs
    • • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • • Deadline and detail-oriented

 

Salary (DOE) - $55,000 to 75,000 with potential year-end bonuses. This is a full time position (M-F) with possibility of some overtime.

 

On-site work location: In San Francisco office, but with two days a month remote
