The Performance Improvement (PI) Coordinator and Patient Advocate assists the Director of Performance and Risk Management, leadership, medical staff and PI Committee in carrying out and implementing a comprehensive and integrated program The PI Coordinator & Patient Advocate is responsible for: Supervising and supporting performance improvement/risk management activities on a daily basis and assure that action is taken as needed and as authorized by organization policies and procedures. Receiving and reviewing department/service performance measures and documentation to evaluate performance improvement activities and coordinate reports of findings on daily, monthly and annual basis to the Director of PI as directed. Maintain records of the performance improvement performance measures and statistical tools used to describe studies performed or methodology. Advise and assist all departments/services and committees accountable for performance improvement activities as assigned. Assist in preparing, coordinating and documenting PI meetings. Maintain a record of all completed reviews, evaluations and process improvement team activities. Attend and participate in appropriate committee and department or service meetings in which performance improvement activities occur. Share data and information with appropriate committees and departments/services as assigned by Department head. Assist the Director with Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA, and state surveys. Oversee security team including but not limited to supervisory tasks for the security techs, belongings process including processing, storage and transporting of patient belongings. Your Experience Matters What we're looking for: Education & Licensure: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Nursing, masters in socialwork or counseling preferred. Experience: 2-3 years' experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting involving quality improvement preferred. Computers skills involving knowledge of Excel spreadsheets, and business writing. Additional Skill Requirements: Computers skills involving knowledge of Excel spreadsheets, and business writing. CPI and CPR training provided upon hire.
