Reuben's Brews is seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Sales with a deep passion for growth in the craft beer industry. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in shaping and executing our sales strategy, driving performance across our distribution network, and building lasting relationships with our top retail customers across both on-premise and off-premise channels. This individual will be responsible for spearheading Reuben’s Brews’ sales efforts, managing distributor partnerships, and ensuring the success of our sales team. About Us: Reuben's Brews, a family-owned brewery established in 2012, is known for brewing with intention and creativity, driven by a commitment to quality. As the most decorated brewery in Washington, we operate three brewhouses, two taprooms, and two private event spaces, with distribution primarily focused on the Pacific Northwest. At Reuben's Brews, we approach brewing with the philosophy of designing each beer "from the glass backwards," prioritizing flavor and experience. Key Responsibilities: Sales Team Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, ensuring accountability and alignment with company goals. Wholesale Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive growth and expand market share across on-premise and off-premise channels. Distributor Management: Build and maintain strong partnerships with distributors, overseeing coordination and performance to maximize brand presence and sales. Sales Forecasting and Analysis: Utilize data and industry insights to forecast sales trends, identify growth opportunities, and optimize sales performance. Event Management: Oversee the planning and execution of outside sales events, promotions, and partnerships that strengthen our brand presence and customer engagement. Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in consumer product sales , including chain and wholesaler experience, and a proven track record in sales leadership (craft beer industry experience highly preferred). 3+ years of sales team management experience building top performing sales teams by providing coaching, support, and ensuring accountability. Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term vision and short-term execution under pressure. Data-driven approach to decision-making, with expertise in leveraging sales tools such as Nielsen, IRI, and VIP to identify market trends, customer insights, and sales opportunities. Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the confidence to say “no” or push back when needed, always backed by data and delivered in a respectful, solutions-oriented manner. Customer-focused mindset, with a deep understanding of distributor, retailer and consumer needs, and the ability to address challenges while driving mutually beneficial outcomes. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing tasks effectively.
