POSITION SUMMARY:
Project HOPE’s Corporate & Foundation Team (CFT) is responsible for raising private funds to support the organization’s mission-critical programs around the world. The Senior Development Coordinator position is a project management position responsible for our grant application and report process. They will support our grant process, writing needs, and monitor and track our grant calendar.
The Senior Development Coordinator’s number one responsibility is to gather information from internal stakeholders to compile detailed, organized, and compelling grant proposals, reports, concept notes and other documents. They will collaborate with team members in the Development, Global Health, and Finance departments to gather information. They must have experience in the grant application process and proficient knowledge of fundraising methods, and be committed to the mission of Project HOPE. They must be deadline driven, able to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and create relationships at all levels in the organization.
This position will also support research, draft thank you letters and work with the team to support content sharing with donors including Annual Reports, Holiday Cards, Impact Reports, etc. This position is critical to our ability to raise funds and steward donors.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Compile high-quality grant proposals and reports based on funder requirements.
Work closely with the Global Health team to gather programmatic information, finance to compile financials and compliance to ensure appropriate grant submissions.
Manage the proposal submission process to ensure timely submission of all required materials.
Manage grant calendar and communicate out reporting deadlines.
Manage donor recognition and benefits.
Maintain proficient knowledge of organization’s history and program priorities.
Research corporate and foundation prospects.
Manage thank you process.
Create supporting marketing and communication materials including case statements, brochures, and special documents for funders.
Maintain records in organization’s CRM system.
Schedule and participate in regular check-in calls with the regional and issue-specific program teams at Project HOPE to stay on top of emerging opportunities to seek funding for projects.
Support research and communication material for Cause Marketing relationships.
Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Six plus years’ experience in an administrative/fundraising capacity with an international non-profit.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel.
Excellent knowledge of fundraising information sources.
Strong people skills and a passion to serve others.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to meet deadlines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be mobile in an office environment and able to use standard office equipment.
Must be able to communicate in verbal and written form and must be able to travel internationally.
Project HOPE employees may be required to travel or work in countries where working conditions are classified as “hardship.”
Work environment:
Typical office environment with exposure to a minimal noise level.
Emergency deployments may be in resource-deprived environments with austere living conditions.
Travel for extended periods may be by air and/or other modes of transportation.
While international travel is not a regular part of every job, programmatic needs may require it intermittently.
Project HOPE employees may be required to travel or work in countries where working conditions are classified as “hardship.”
Salary range starting at $65,000 USD per year based on candidates residing in the US. Compensation for the role is dependent on several factors including a candidate’s location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
