Summary
C.A.R.E. For Me Children's Learning Center has been serving children ages 6 weeks to 13 years old, and their families since 2004. Our family oriented environment and culture allows children to thrive in a safe, loving and secure environment. Candidates for hire must possess patience and an eagerness to help children reach their social, emotional, physical and cognitive milestones while understanding that each child is an individual. Our play based learning approach and focus on relationship building is the foundation of every interaction we have with children. From infancy to our preschool program, our chosen curricula are specifically geared toward advancing children in all domains, while also instilling a lifetime love of learning.
Duties - Daily planning, management, and supervision of the classroom and children.
- Candidates must have previous teaching experience, in a group care setting preferred.
- Individuals will provide classroom leadership as they strive to manage a program that exceeds state standards and GNJK guidelines.
- Supervise and interact with children during all activities.
- Communicates appropriate information to parents; maintains developmental profiles for children.
- Must be able to lift heavy children
- Must be able to physically get down on the floor with toddlers and respond quickly.
- Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
- Create weekly lesson plans using the Creative Curriculum Twos studies
- Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Ensure a healthy classroom environment - including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
- Be committed to a minimum of 20 hours of professional development yearly.
- Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements - Child Development Associates (CDA) or minimum of 2 years of professional childcare experience working specifically with toddlers.
- High energy.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, get down on the floor with infants and toddlers and respond quickly.

- Understanding of American Sign Language
